About the Role
We are looking for a Human Resources (HR) Assistant to support the HR function by ensuring administrative tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner. This role will report to the EVP, People and be office based from our Charlottesville office, Monday to Friday, working up to 20 hours a week.
What will your job look like?
You will be responsible for ordering and stocking office supplies
Coordinating lunches on Wednesdays & other in-office events
Ensuring the office is clean and tidy
Partnering with stakeholders to execute larger scale company events
Creating and ordering business cards for employees
Keeping employee information up to date such as the organizational chart, business cards, and contact list
Completes employment verifications
Assisting with payroll, recruiting, or other initiatives
Completing expense reports, running reports, and other finance related tasks
Ensuring employees' onboarding paperwork and benefit enrollments are complete
Running background checks
Miscellaneous clerical tasks as assigned
What will you need to succeed?
A High school degree or GED is require, associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred
Customer service experience would be advantageous
Keen attention to detail with excellent follow-through on assigned tasks
Resourceful and proactive mindset & flexibility to take on new tasks
Excellent oral/presentation and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Possess good interpersonal skills, self-motivated, and retains a positive attitude
Proficient with common computer software programs (Microsoft) and the ability to learn new technological systems as needed.
